Board Members Of Star Duck Charities

Jon Heck

Jon Heck is an Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney at the Jefferson County Commonwealth's Attorney's Office where he prosecutes crimes against children. Jon also currently works as an adjunct professor of Justice Administration at the University of Louisville. His first involvement at St. Joe's was in the Fall of 1992 when he was a Freshman at Bellarmine College. It was during this time that the picnic coordinator asked if he could assemble a group of students to work a booth at their annual picnic, the Duck Pond. Jon agreed and has run the booth ever since.

Andrew Winkler

Andrew worked with children for years while in school through the YMCA C.E.P. program and now that he is working as a professional, he is happy to have a means by which to continue to work with children. He believes in St Joe's Children's Home, and is proud to have an opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of the under-served children who make up their 40 residents. The rewarding work that has been done as a fund raiser for St Joe's over the last 15 years makes him all the more committed to seeing the planned birthday celebrations and school supply programs realized. As outreach director, the central idea that drives Andrew is the notion that "We can do more." As such, we are always striving to expand our efforts and reach ever increasing heights as we seek to make every child a winner.

Ryan Potter

Ryan is a Louisville native having graduated from both Trinity High School and Bellarmine College. His family has a long history of commitment to St. Joseph's Children's Home and he is excited to continue this tradition. He has been involved with the St. Joe's Picnic for ten years and cannot wait to extend his commitment to help children further through Star Duck Charities.

Joe Burchett

Joe hails from Johnson County in eastern Kentucky, where he was a part of many community organizations. His first experience helping with the St. Joe's picnic was in 2001 after being recruited by Jon, his band-mate at the time. Becoming involved with St. Joseph's Children's Home has strengthened his ties to the Louisville community and has certainly been an experience that he feels has brought him in contact with many exceptional people. Joe is a graduate from the University of Louisville and currently teaches music as well as doing freelance web design and consulting (including the one you're currently viewing).
